Over the course of 2019 almost 50 people travelled to central Romania with St. John’s Church, to assist with a community project which will primarily support the building of an orphanage for children from the area’s ghetto.
St. John’s has been working on projects in Romania since 2017 and we always welcome new members of the team to come along and spend a life-changing week with a purpose! Everybody in the team pays for their own travel, accommodation and food costs for the duration of the trip and we also collectively raise money to help fund the project itself, which buys building materials and specific items that are needed at the time.
We have loads of fundraising events, including Quiz’s, runs and cycles, food nights, movie nights, concerts, car wash’s – you name it, we’ll do it!
