Pastoral Support

Jesus told us in the parable of the Good Samaritan to “Love your neighbour as yourself.” (Mark 12v 31) Therefore, as Christians we all have a responsibility to try and care for those we meet in our community.

How does it work?

This can sometimes be through greeting and welcoming people, meeting regularly in small groups to get to know each other better, providing practical help when required or being alongside each other at difficult times. It can also be through other acts of friendship and kindness, a Christian witness by sharing God’s love with our neighbours.

What else do we offer?

We have a large amount of information to support a variety of situations or provide links to support groups which may be helpful.

In addition there are times, when at any age or stage during our journey through life, we may need extra pastoral care, support for specific situations and circumstances or a personal visit. Help can usually be provided by people in our Pastoral Care team at Church who have appropriate skills, training and experience.

Who do we contact?
